About Me

Alejandro Caldwell Herrera is a Colombian-American transplant turned Canadian. Leaving his engineering background in Texas, he’s currently using his BA in creative writing and English literature from Concordia University as an editor for various magazines, such as After Dinner Conversation and Flash Fiction Magazine.

He’s published various articles, interviews, literature analyses, and a short story during his time as Managing Content Creator of Soliloquies Anthology (and is responsible for the copywriting of several small businesses). In terms of literature, he’s most interested in what makes people tick: class and racial inequalities, differences in communities, and the crunchy bits that appear when they all mix.

My last article for Soliloquies! It's been an absolute blast working with the team and I'm super proud of all the work we've done. Big thanks to everyone - now go read about Patrick Bateman and Gone Girl! A combination of spring and "Canadian Literary Fare" by Nathalie Cooke and Shelley Boyd has got me thinking a lot about food and its symbolism in literature.
